Today is our special day…It’s our Anniversary. Five Years.

The pleasure’s all mine, cause we have seen good times…it’s our anniversary. Oh Tony! Toni! Tone! you melt me each and every time.

This man, my husband, has made everything in my life better. For five wonderful years he has made good days great, okay ones better, and horrible days manageable. Here is a snip-it of our story. One fall morning we noticed one another on the UCI campus (I know, ZOT ZOT) bus on our way to Econ class. This bus was late, so punctual little me freaked. I had to sit in the back of class, which was completely uncharacteristic of my usual routine. That was when fate struck. This skinny cute fellow caught my eyes as he walked in through the heavy double doors of the enormous Social Science lecture hall. We both stared and for some reason I didn’t even hesitate to offer him the seat next to me (how forward of me- I know!). Instead of listening intently, which I desperately needed to for this class, I felt the intense urge to begin to chat and ask him typical first date questions. I don’t know what had gotten into me that morning. We exchanged giggles and digits without once writing a note from the professor’s lecture. Days after I invited him over for a study session and that’s where I realized we were on our way to becoming best friends. Yup, nothing romantic was headed our way for a while. The next couple of years we remained good friends. I studied abroad while we kept it real with Yahoo’s Instant Messenger (Ahhh! That was way back in the day…..before unlimited texting, before texting). After I returned, I knew there was a some sort of void space in my life, but I couldn’t pin point exactly what it was. Then, I realized we hadn’t been talking as much and I missed my friend. The spring after I graduated we let cupid work a little magic and we gave it a shot at a real relationship. Five years, two doggies, one toddler and one newborn on it’s way later…we know we truly are made for each other. He and I, are soul mates, best friends, and the loves of each other’s lives. As my brainiac math man would like to say, we go together like real and imaginary (Complex numbers that is). Ha! Thank you God for blessing us with this beautiful life. Happy Anniversary schmookie! I love you forever and a day!!!

Oh and I’m a little late on this post. These photos were taken in October of this past year for his 3oth birthday, but I’ve been a little busy if you haven’t noticed. Please don’t think we are some obsessed ’90s freaks because there are a bunch of old school props in here. It is just that we thought it would only be appropriate to show some old school gear since he had a 90’s boy themed party, yes with a Lego cake, Tetris photo booth, and Pog playing station and all.

Erica, Alex, Elianna & Jacob. Family. Orange County Family Photographer.

Green grass, chirping birds, and the sweet scent of jasmine are extremely reminiscent of my good ole track running days in the middle of Spring. This is absolutely the best season for taking gorgeous photos of beautiful families in southern California.  Jacob, Erica and Alex’s handsome son, just turned one on the best day ever…April 10th (my birthday). They spent this lovely April afternoon celebrating and updating their family photos. I’m the lucky one that gets to capture how much Erica and Alex love their children and how much their children adore them. I heard the first five years of your child’s life go by in the blink of an eye, so I’m glad to know that Erica and Alex are documenting every single kiss, embrace and laugh that their young children give them. Its a reminder to me of how I need to continue to photograph all the big events along with the itty bitty “besitos” in life too!

Loved hanging out with your sweet family. Can’t wait till we do it again!
How cute is this little guy? This one is my fave. Erica you are gorgeous and I love the embrace that you and Elianna are sharing. She’s cute and hilarious. Gotta love this one too!

Ava. Smash The Cake. Los Angeles Baby Photographer.

Sugar and spice and everything nice, that’s what little girls are made of. I couldn’t agree more with this old fashioned nursery rhyme. My camera practically melted when my lens laid her glass eye on this adorable thang. Ava will be one in a week, so her parents wanted to doll her up in pinks and pastels for her smash the cake session. Oh what a sweet pea she is in this personalized pink party hat I created that went along perfectly with the dual color tutu her mommy handmade. Happy Birthday Ava! May all your sweet little wishes come true! This one is my favorite, because I started screaming and then she copied me…and look at how cute the photo turned out. Then I continued to scream thinking it would make her laugh, umm I guess not because she started crying. Oppsies!

Richard, Melody & Baby Jude. Family. Los Angeles Family Photographer.

Raising a child takes more than a cool new wipey-warming gadget, some super soft and eco-friendly swaddling blankets, and definitely more than a time saving baby bullet (which I love by the way). Nurturing babies takes every drop and ounce of sweat, tears, and even blood to help these adorable little creatures thrive. No matter how much I try, it’s so hard to explain the love and emotion that goes into caring for the little being you created. But Richard and Melody know exactly what I’m talking about. Their touch and embrace shows how they are pouring their heart and soul into raising their handsome baby, Jude. They wanted to catch baby Jude’s “babiness” before he continued to grow any faster. Jude is almost six months now and sure is growing like a rose bush in the Spring. Not too many months ago, I remember taking his newborn photos and he was just a little bitty thing. Now he’s filling out and is coming into his own personality. He gave us smiles that the little baby girls would surly swoon over. Just take a look.
Melody is one talented chic. She made this headdress to represent her, and now her son’s, Native American side.My favorite. Just look at his smiles-squishy and cute!

Christian. Smash the Cake. Los Angeles Lifestyle Photographer.

Sometimes I like to over indulge in desserts. Okay I’m lying. I always end up having a sugar coma whenever I have the opportunity for some yummy deliciousness….apparently so does Christian! This almost one year old handsome little devil devoured his smash the cake cake in less than one minutes flat. No seriously, Christian knows exactly what he loves, and that is sugar! Luckily his mom, dad, auntie, grandma, and I were all prepared for his speedy quick smashing of what seemed to be one pretty tasty cake. Christian was so adorable while smothering the butter cream goodness all over every body part he could reach. Happy Birthday, you super cute “cake” monster. I hope his Sesame Street themed birthday and birthday cake are ready for him.

I think I’m going to start having a smash the cake contest. Wouldn’t that be too cute? So fresh and so clean before. This is my favorite. I mean look at his dimple!Ready, set
.too late.
Okay this is my messy face favorite.
